Pictures from Wind Dancer's
July 2006 Cruise to
Kingston, Brakey Bay (Wolfe Island), and Thwartway Island (St.
Lawrence Islands
National Park, Canada)
Diane and I (Steve) sailed from Sackets Harbor, NY to Collins
Bay Marina, Kingston, ON. About 40 miles.

We stayed here a couple of days--took the bus into historic Kingston,
etc.
Since NE wind and storms were predicted we proceeded under power to Navy Bay,
just E of Kingston.

On the way past Kingston.
Navy Bay is perfectly protected from the NE. It is also the home of Canada's
Royal Military College, basically their West Point, on one side of the bay and
Fort Henry on the other.

Fort Henry

Navy Bay. The first night we anchored here we were treated to a concert audible
from Ft Henry
of the 1812 Overture, complete with cannons and fireworks. An annual event.
We stayed two days at Navy Bay before proceeding E to Brakey
Bay, Wolfe Island. About 15 miles.
